Trust is the foundation of the Relo marketplace. Every Pro who lists on the Platform goes through a verification process before they can accept bookings, and clients can review qualifications, insurance status, and past client feedback before booking.
A Pro's application is checked against a set of rules covering identity, certifications, and — for business accounts — a live lookup against the UK companies registry to confirm the business is active. Applications that pass every check are approved automatically; anything ambiguous is held for manual review rather than auto-approved, and rejected outright if it fails a hard requirement (for example, no valid insurance on file).
Verification confirms that a Pro has supplied valid, current documentation at the time of listing — it is not a guarantee of the quality of any specific session, and clients should still exercise their own judgement when selecting a Pro.
Pros are required to hold valid professional indemnity and public liability insurance appropriate to their discipline, and to keep it current while listed. Relo verifies that a policy is held at listing time but is not a party to, and does not underwrite, any Pro's insurance — coverage, limits, and exclusions are set solely by the Pro's own insurer.
Payment for a session is only released to a Pro once that session completes — a client is never charged, and a Pro is never paid, for a session that didn't happen. Our cancellation policy sets out exactly what happens for late cancellations and no-shows on both sides; see our Terms of Service for the current notice windows.
Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct of any kind can be reported directly from a booking, a profile, or through Support, and is reviewed by our Trust & Safety team. Depending on severity, action ranges from a warning to immediate suspension pending investigation, up to permanent removal from the Platform.
This page reflects Relo's actual verification logic and booking protections as built. The specific rule set and review thresholds described here are subject to a compliance review before real client money and real Pro applications are processed at launch.
